the Nile, itself.

Partner organization information:

Community Action Against Plastic Waste (CAPws) is on a mission
to raise the world largest community of youths taking action
against plastic waste while creating economic prosperity for their
communities. CAPws is headquartered in Nigeria with Activation
Hubs as operational units in Rwanda, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana,
South Africa, Fiji, The Gambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Eswatini,
Burundi, South Sudan, Pakistan and expanding to more countries.
They are a youth empowerment organization and a member of
Children and Youth Major Group to United Nations Environment
Programme (UNEP MGCY). They have a vision of a world where
young people from communities and countries mostly affected by
the effects of climate change are the ones taking leadership roles
on climate action, and their main objective is to empower youths
and women, mostly from low-income and disadvantaged
communities to take advantage of opportunities available in the
waste management value chain which requires little or most time
zero startup capital. This is aimed at supporting young people and
vulnerable families to enhance their income and livelihood while
improving the human and planetary health by taking action for
environmental sustainability through reduction of plastic waste
and pollution.
